We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure our Vitamin C is 100% naturally-derived. Most supplements offering a higher strength Vitamin C use Acerola and Rosehip powders which are artificially fortified with Ascorbic Acid. We would never use these.
Natural Vitamin C is absorbed and retained better
Studies show that artificial ascorbic acid has a shorter retention time within the body. Whereas natural vitamin C is retained and absorbed over a longer time period, leading to less wastage and maximised health benefits. One study found natural vitamin C to be 148% more bioavailable to the body than synthetic vitamin C.
